At VDL TIM Hapert, we use advanced automation technologies to optimise production processes. Our fully automated process for manufacturing “Eyecatcher” was developed and supplied by VDL Steelweld, guaranteeing precision, efficiency and quality.
The process starts in an automated warehouse, where a robot selects raw castings from a stillage using the ‘Bin Picking’ system. These are then assigned to one of the seven machining centres, where milling operations transform them into high-quality finished products.
After milling, the products undergo a deburring and assembly process. They are then inspected using an advanced measurement system (Inline CMM), ensuring that every product meets the strictest quality standards.
Once approved, a robot places the products in coating racks, which are transported directly to the coating facility where they receive a cathodic dip coating treatment. Through these streamlined processes, we ensure that every product meets the highest standards of functionality and appearance.
