Automated production by VDL Steelweld
At VDL TIM Hapert, we use advanced automation technologies to optimize production processes. Our fully automated process for the production of the “Eyecatcher” was developed and supplied by VDL Steelweld and guarantees precision, efficiency, and quality.
Efficiency from the very first step
The process starts in an automated warehouse, where a robot selects raw castings from a gitterbox using the ‘Bin Picking’ system. These are then assigned to one of the seven machining centers, where milling operations transform them into high-quality end products.
Quality control
After milling, the products proceed to a deburring and assembly process. Subsequently, they are inspected by an advanced measuring system (Inline CMM), which ensures that each product meets the most strict quality standards.
Optimized logistics and processing
After approval, a robot places the products in paint racks, which are transported directly to the paint shop where they will get a KTL treatment. These streamlined processes ensure that every product meets the highest standards in terms of functionality and appearance.
